Not sure what to say?

I did not know Mr. Ball personally. I never sat in his classroom or worshipped in church with him. I was simply a child who looked forward to the PHS jazz band coming to play at my elementary school each year. Those memories came to mind tonight when I heard Watermelon Man on the radio as I road in the car with my father-in-law. Mary Jane, I just got the news that Jerry has passed. What a remarkable man, such a passionate man with everything he did. I am forever grateful for having spent many hours talking with him about music, life, all of it. I have never seen a man love a woman the way he loved you and the girls. One of the most passionate men I have ever known. I will miss him, his music, his smile, his laugh. I hope to join him one day soon in heaven. Love to you and your family. What a wonderful man.

I remember Mr. Ball like yesterday when I was in Jr. High School. I was actually taught my Mrs. Ball. Both were know for their happiness and smiles ALL the time. My heart feels pain for your family. Know that we will be lifting you all up in prayer. Blessings, Shirley (Scott) Brehm PHS class of 88
