Gerald Becker

Becker, Gerald Chesaning Age 95, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at his daughter's home in Owosso. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel in Owosso. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2-7 p.m. Gerald was born December 23, 1919 in Wayne County, Michigan to the late Edward and Blanche (Jaeps) Becker. Gerald served his country honorably in the Army Air Corp. during World War II, being honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1945. Following the war, Gerald went to work for Consumers Power for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He married Ethel McFarlin June 2, 1962. Mr. Becker enjoyed his time spent at the Senior Citizens Club in Brady playing cards and working in the yard outside his home. Gerald is survived by his four children: Jerry Becker of Clio, Dale Becker of Millington, Mike Becker of Flint and Diane (David) Gagnier of Owosso; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Alice Huiting of Alpena and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel and five brothers and sisters. Online condolences given in Mr. Becker's name are suggested to the Brady Senior Center.
