Our deepest condolences to your family. We had been blessed to have a neighbor like Mr. Bender. He was a gentleman and had an angelic Flair to him we will never forget. He will be truly missed.

I have just learned of Jerry's passing. I am so sad. He was such a dear man. A family friend of over 40 years he and my brother Sandy, I did not often see him, but he was always in my heart. On one trip out to Los Angeles, for a Wiesenthal event, he asked if I would like to meet him. I was thrilled. Jerry told me that Simon could at times be brusque and to be prepared. We all went to lunch for what was to be a short meeting. We sat for over 2 hours, and Wiesenthal and I delighted in one...

To the Bender Family,

I just learned of the passing of Gerald, and am sorry for your loss. Judge Bender was a great Judge. All ways fair, strict, and sometimes with a sense of humor. I was always glad when a case I had was assigned to him. He will be sadly missed in the Domestic Relations Division.
