Ben was an epitome of his generation's "compleat" engineer. As adept with the mechanics of analyzing dynamic precession as the mechanics of changing the car's brake pads. One of the good guys.

Dear Nancy,I am very sad to hear of Jerry passing. I know Jerry from our childhood days in Salinas. We, my brothers and I the Davis boys, lived just three doors from Jerry and his family we played ball in the street and climed trees all over the neighborhood. We all ran in and out of each others house like it was ours. Jerry and i played on good ole Salinas High Cowboy football team together. He was alway great to be with and I enjoyed have him as my friend. I'm very sorry for you with the...

Dear Nancy and family and Don and Nadine;
I am so sad to hear of Jerry's too early death. I know him as "Jerry" because he was my childhood playmate in Salinas. I heard of his death from one of my classmates. As the youngest of the "Davis boys" just three houses away, I grew up with Don and Jerry. We were all working class kids who grew up in a peaceful, small town playing football in the street and softball in the vacant lot. Jerry was fun, funny, creative, and resourceful even...

I'm so sorry to learn that Ben has passed away. Ben was such a great person with an absolutely terrific sense of humor. It's sad to think we will not get to hear yet another of his stories.

Having known Ben during his entire
time at Sandia. I was saddened by his
death. I will always remember him for
his stories and as a good listener. I
enjoyed working with him and for him.
He will be missed.

Nancy and family:
I was saddened to hear of the death of my friend and work colleague. Ben and I started work with Sandia in June 1962. We were in the "leper colony" together, an unsecured area where new hirees waited for their security clearance.
We didn't see that much of each other after we retired, but I will miss his ready smile and plentiful jokes.
Ben left us far too soon.

Nancy and Family,
May you find strength in knowing that everyone who knew Ben was affected by his zest for life and friendship! He was indeed a man I respected for his honesty and his respect for all of us who worked with him over the years at Sandia (no matter what your "title" was!).
Although I rarely saw Ben and you after his retirement, he always greeted me as if he had just seen me the previous day. He will be missed by all who knew him!
