Not sure what to say?

My parents first took me to see Dr. Berman before I entered the first grade back in the 1970s. I had a "lazy eye". Dr. Berman showed us a little exercise for my mother to do with me at home to help my eyesight. I had such cute blue eyeglasses in the First Grade! I later needed glasses again around the Fifth Grade. My family continued to go to Dr. Berman until his retirement. I remember my father enjoyed talking with Dr. Berman. Dr. Berman was a very good doctor. I just heard of his...

I am so sorry to learn of Dr. Berman's untimely death. He had been my doctor for many years and I was sad for myself when he retired, though happy for him. I wish he could have enjoyed many more years of retirement. My thoughts are with his wonderful family.

Dr. Berman was the best eye doctor I have ever had, and I truly missed him when he retired. He was funny, honest and you knew upon leaving that your eyes were in the best hands ever. My heart goes out to the entire family. He will be missed by so many of us.

Dear Bonita, Bill and I were so sorry to hear of the passing of Gerald.....we have such fond memories of him walking his little dog while at the cabin at Cataloochee....he was a wonderful and compassionate man. We were afraid something like his illness might be going on when we read of the sale of your cabin in the mountains....know of our deepest sympathy as you adjust to a life without your dear Gerald! Much love and prayers, Dr. Bill and Eleanor Scarbrough (neighbors at Cataloochee Ranch...

I just heard the news Benita and am so sad for your loss. I offer you and the entire family many prayers and much love, Amy

Benita, we were heartbroken to learn of Jerry's passing. Although we only spent a brief amount of time with you both in the NC mountains, we came to know Jerry as a fine and decent man. He must have been a wonderful physician too, as these comments indicate. Jerry had a real gift with people and always had a twinkle in his eye. We loved his humor and always enjoyed our times together. We wish you and your family strength during these difficult times. Please know that you are in our...

I have been wearing glasses since I was 4yrs old. Dr. Berman was the Best! I knew when I saw him there would be no problems with my glasses. No being told "You just have to get use to that prescription" I could see better right away. As the years passed and I had a child, Dr. Berman even asked if my child had the same eye condition. I was devastated when he retired and will miss his talent greatly. To his family, I am sorry for your loss and God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Gerald Berman. Our thought's and prayers are with you and your family! Christina Beyerle.
