Not sure what to say?

I worked with Gerry for a number of years at HEW/HHS. He was one of the best public servants ever to serve our Nation. When new legislation or initiatives required strong and timely implementation, numerous HEW/HHS Secretaries could rely on Gerry to create, implement, and complete these initiatives on time and with great quality.

Jerry was my first boss at HHS/ASPE and he was a truly amazing mentor, man and leader. His contributions to ASPE and the Department were enormous. I am truly sorry for your loss and grief, but I also hope his significant contributions to HHS can be remembered and treasured during this time. I will always remember and be indebted to him. I hope you may experience some peace and grace in this difficult time.

Jerry was always a great friend and my mentor at the US Department of HHS. He was simply ASPE's true V.I.P., and everyone including the Department's Secretary relied on him--he never let them down. A wonderful man who also always let everyone know how much he treasured his wife and family. Jerry will live on in many memories.

Jo and family. I am so sorry for your loss. Words are often inadequate when you lose someone who has meant so much to you. As his secretary and administrative assistant for many years at HEW/HHS, I was witness to his vast knowledge of all things political, his determination and his compassion. I am sure he will be missed. May God's ever present love cover you with peace and comfort for the journey ahead.

Please accept my sincere sympathies. May God's holy spirit or active force, equip you with the " power beyond what is normal " to go from one day to the next. ( 2 Corinthians 4 : 7 ) Remember : God can help his faithful servants to endure any and every problem they may face.

Condolences and prayers for Jerry and for the Britten family. Jerry has been a friend for many years and made a very valuable contribution to our Cove Creek community through his tireless community service work over a long period of time. Jerry also took money from a lot of us on the golf course with our CCMGA on Saturday mornings. Fair winds and following seas to our friend and neighbor, JB.

I am so sorry for your loss. He sounds as if he made the world a better place.

We have lived two doors away from Jerry and Jo in Cove Creek for ten years. We saw and spoke to Jerry several times per week while dog walking. Our small dogs were reluctant friends. Jerry was interesting to talk to, was positive about people and the community and was truly a great guy. We have missed him in the neighborhood and are sincerely sorry about his passing. We think of him often.

our deepest sympathy to jerry's family. BARBARA AND EARL GRIFFIN jerry was a great golfing buddy. earl
