Not sure what to say?

Wow, now this was a man who made a difference in my young life. He was an unlikely teacher, from a background few of us were familiar with then. But his worldliness gave him ways of drawing in distracted teenagers and making them stop and think. His gentle Socratic method required you to participate intellectually. I've never forgotten him and I hope his family knows how many lives he touched in a wonderful way, well beyond his heroic military service.

I remember him; he taught with my stepfather, George Elsner, for many years. He will be missed; my deepest sympathies!

The Colonel was an amazing teacher and wonderful man. Praying for healing for his family.

I have always remembered Mr Clausing as an excellent teacher of Geography in 7th grade at Glenbrook Middle School in Longmeadow, Massachusetts as well as a very good man. I remember Mr. Clausing as an excellent teacher and a true gentleman. My condolences to his family on their great loss.

Winnie and Family, You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time of loss and change. We reconnected with Gerry several years ago via the Internet. We know that he Gerry will be missed by all his family and friends. May he rest in...

We were lucky to have Gerry with us for as long as he continued to teach. As principal, his service made my job so much easier. Thank you Lt. Col. Clausing for your service to the United States, to the children who came under your tutelage at Glenbrook Middle School and for the fellowship you...
