Not sure what to say?

I had the great pleasure of working with Gerald as I produced a documentary about Alberta Hunter called "My Castle's Rockin'." Gerald was so helpful and kind as he consulted in the production after Alberta's passing. I was quite impressed as well with his piano work in the concert film, I will always remember Gerald.

Gerald was my friend, who touched my life with his musical greatness. Emmy Kemp introduced me to Gerald, who was celebrated as "the world's greatest living jazz accompanist." We worked on musical projects together. I moved to Colorado after the horrific highway accident that killed my first husband, and lost contact with Gerald. He was indeed a genius; I am so sorry that I missed this over so many years.....but I will always remember him.

Gerald was a gifted pianist and a gentleman.
My twin brother and I spent our 12th birthday (1977) in New York. There was a little party at the Cookery and Alberta Hunter sang happy birthday to us while Gerald played; it was such a treat that I will always remember.
My Uncle was Gerald's partner and friend.
Best wishes and Peace.

Gerald was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He was my uncles life partner and was an important person in my life. I was so fortunate to know him. I will always have many fond memories of Gerald.
