Not sure what to say?

Gerry and Barbara Cove were friends since our days at Westfield State University and our time together at the University of Connecticut and with Gerry at Colgate University, courtesy of the national Science Foundation. Family, faith and friendship were central to their lives. Their home was always a welcome place as they wrote the book on hospitality.

Gerry Cove was my 7th grade teacher at the former Kirby Jr High School (I'm 72 now) where he was a great teacher. I used to see him at CCHS school functions (where my two kids were students) and was happy that he was still involved in education. His wife sure did her best for the Chicopee School system and we should celebrate their educational contributions for the City of Chicopee. He was such a good man!

Uncle Gerry you certainly left your mark in so many lives you touched. You were the best teacher, ski instructor and best Uncle! I have been blessed with so many cherished memories of our time together . Many laughs skiing, beach and games at the Cape and fun rides in that old sporty convertible Mercedes you had! You were loved more than you know. My deepest sympathies to Chris and Caryn and all your family. Love, Sally and Bob Naumann

Single Memorial Tree

Caryn and Family, so sorry for the loss of your much loved father. I am sure you have many great memories and laughs as he looked like a fun person. My prayers go out to you all and may he rest in peace.

Gerry was a great colleague to work with at JFK Middle School in Enfield and a good friend whose memory will always remain with all of us.

Writing to extend my deepest condolences to the family of Gerald and Barbara Cove. They were both wonderful people who left me with some of the sweetest and simplest memories from when I was little. I have always treasured the time I was able to spend with Caryn, Christopher and Mr. & Mrs. Cove. I am so sorry for your loss.
