DAILEY, Gerald E. - Of Flint, age 90, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Rockwell Assisted Living. Private funeral service will be held at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Community of Christ Church, Bristolwood Branch, 1158 West Bristol Rd. Visitation 1-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Gerald was born in Flint, Michigan on October 20, 1918 and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life. He married Margaret Huddleston on November 22, 1949 in Detroit. He served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member and Deacon of Community of Christ Church. Mr. Dailey was employed by General Motors Parts Plant for 30 years, retiring in 1980 and was a member of UAW Local #659. Surviving are son, Paul and wife Glenda Dailey of Fenton; daughter, Averil Collins of Australia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on October 28, 2000; parents; and 2 brothers, Robert and Glen Dailey.
