Read MoreI knew Jerry in the Air Force when we were both KC-135Q pilots at Beale AFB back in the early 1970's. We were good friends then and had a lot of good times together. He was such a great guy, excellent pilot, and fun and happy person. I was just looking up old USAF people and his death came up. I am so sorry to hear about it and wish we had maintained contact through the years.

Carolyn, even though we never met Jerry always spoke about you when I had our taxes done. Jerry did our taxes for 36 years, and I was always the first person to schedule my appointment. It was already set for February, I'm sorry I won't ever see his smiling face again. When my husband died unexpectedly in August, Jerry sent me the most compassionate, heartfelt email.
