With sincerest condolences to Maryann and the entire Dooley family. The Hawthorne Village Family will certainly miss Gerry. He was the mayor of our community and one of the kindest people I have ever met.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Maryannn who is a great person as well as boss. Also to both families. Gerry was a ray of sunshine everytime he entered a room. He was extremely funny, friendly and made me always smile. What a wonderful husband he was to my friend Maryann. My heart really breaks for her at this terrible time.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me".
