He let me take his place for Slumber in the Slammer. The kids say, "Remember the night you spent in jail?" It's a good way to start a conversation or get someone to go away.

JERRY AND I WERE IN ROTARY FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS. HE FOLLOWED ME UP THE LADDER OF POSITIONS. HE WAS PRESIDENT ELECT WHEN I WAS PRESIDENT , ETC. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND AND OUTSTANDING ROTARIAN. WE WERE ABLE TO SOCIALIZE OUTSIDE ROTARY AND I VALUED HIS FRIENDSHIP. AS OFTEN HAPPENS WHEN I LEFT ROTARY WE SORT OF DRIFTED APART AS WE WERE BOTH BUSY WITH WORK AND FAMILY.
