Not sure what to say?

My daughter Savannah, took a class from Mr. Jerry and she came home sharing with excitement her conversations with him and the vote of confidence He put in her. Thank you for writing such a nice recap of his life. We laughed the story about "...I can almost see that college over there" Mr. Evans for sure left a legacy and lived a full life.

I was one of Jerry's students and was thrilled to be taking another course with him for my MBA this semester. His passion for teaching will stay with me always.

So many good memories of working and traveling with Jerry in the 70´s after we graduated from Prairie Bible college. After working on the C-N camp buildings we also kayakd the Dearborn river where we went over a small unexpected waterfall and another time he pretty much saved my life. While building houses and making backpacking trips I met Kay (now married for 45 yrs). Later we worked with InterVarsity at MSU under his leadership. He was a devoted friend and challenged us to do more than we...

So sorry to read of Jerry's passing. Prayers and condolences to Bobbi and his family.

Jerry's love for his sons was palpable. I have a vivid memory of him on Dan's senior night for boys' basketball. It was obviously very emotional for him. I contacted him the next day to see how he was doing. He told me, "Kathy, you never know when it's going to be the last time." He went on to share with me how he drove the boys to school at Loyola Sacred Heart. Dan then got his driver's license and began driving himself to school and taking his brother Mike. Jerry treasured his time...

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Jerry's family. I knew him and Bobbie and the boys through Church as well as his inlaws the Flukes. Such a great family. Never Forgotten. Rest Easy Jerry and many your family find Peace. God Bless all of you.

Bobbie, my condolences to you and the entire family! ~from Jill Patton (daughter of Bill Patton)
