Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Fields, 53, of De Soto, Texas, a Dallas fireman, passed away while on duty at Dallas Fire Station on Saturday, March 10, 2001. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, 6:30-8 p.m., at De Soto Lions Club Building, 108 North Lyndalyn, De Soto. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 14, 2 p.m., at Rolling Hills Church of Christ, 115 West Beltline Road, De Soto, officiated by Chaplain Denny Burris and Terry Burress. Interment will be at Red Oak Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to De Soto Lions Club, 108 North Lyndalyn, De Soto, TX 75115-5044 or Boy Scouts of America, c/o West/Hurtt Funeral Home, 217 South Hampton Road, De Soto, TX 75115. My deepest condolences to all Jerry's family and friends. I always knew that when I needed info about the Lion's Club bldg. I could call on Jerry and get exactly what I needed. He will be missed in many, many ways.
