Not sure what to say?

You will be missed greatly Gerry - especially your wonderful sense of humor and ability to get right to the heart of a problem and solve it. You did such a great job at the Health Department and your imprint will remain here for many years to come.

Jerry was a tremendous force not just in the Appraiser's Office but this world. Even with the title he held, he stayed true to himself and did not let the world mold him into what it thought he should be. He not only inspired but enabled many people within our office to become stronger individuals not just for the County but in our personal lifes as well. Jerry helped me to explore my potential and realize that I am capable of more than I or the world may think. Not only through educational...

I have had the privilege of working with Jerry since he came to the Sedgwick County Appaiser's Office. He saw my abilities and strenghts before I did. He inpired, motivated and encouraged me to achive much more then I could have hoped for. He was devoted to training and provided the education to be more effective and produce more accuarte appraisals. Jerry always found a way to acknowledge people for their accomplishments and stive for more. He knew how to deal with different personalities...

My fondest memories of Jerry Frantz involve him strolling through our office at Christmas time handing out Christmas ornaments to all of the employees in the County Clerks Office. At the time, it just seemed like a nice gesture, however now that he has come to the completion of his earthly life, we will all have a tangible reminder of his existance here on earth and of his Christmas Spirit!! Although we may experience sorrow or grieve at the loss of his physical presence, let us all gain the...

Some of the many things I enjoyed about Jerry: Talking about the Yankees and baseball with him, the ornaments each Christmas, his teaching of the Intro to Appraisal class, how he would stick up for and protect the Appraiser's Office employees, and the many, many stories about Jerry from everyone. I am honored to have known such a remarkable individual. He truly was one-of-a-kind! God Bless.

Jerry was a wonderful boss, leader, person and friend to all those lives he touched. He had the ability to make all feel important and respected. He has affected my life in ways that I cannot find words to express. I'll miss the energy and life he brought to the Health Dept. But will never forget all that he taught us.

My life is far richer for having known Jerry. He gave me an opportunity. He believed in me; he accepted me for who I was. He saw strenghts in me that I never knew I possessed. Not only did Jerry believe in me, but he believed in his staff. He saw the potential in all of us. He showed us new horizons. He pushed and prodded us to reach for more. He insisted that we be the "best that we could be", for ourselves, for each other, the office, and for the taxpayers of Sedgwick County. Jerry...

Although Jerry came to the Health Department toward the very end of my career there, he certainly was impressive with his laser sharp insights and vision, balanced by heart warming compassion and kindness. He was not afraid to make a decision and was a master at dealing with bureaucracy. It was beautiful to watch Jerry move from the world of property appraisal and embrace that of public health. He has left Sedgwick County better for his presence.

I worked for Jerry in the Sedgwick County Appraiser's Office for several years. I am grateful to him for pushing me and for helping me to become a better appraiser and person. I respected him as a boss even when we disagreed. Because of Jerry, I have a wonderful job in Shawnee County. Thank you for everything you have done for me. May God bless you and your family.
