Gerald and I shared a bond that began in the innocence of youth, two youngsters from Kalamazoo's north end, united through friendship with the Wolthuis boys. Gerald was an integral part of thee Renzema Family. His first spec house was purchased by Willem and Jitske Renzema. He was a contractor on the building of Renzema´s Bakery in Parchment. He built a home for our brother and sister in law. He built 2 homes for us. We spent lots of time visiting at the bakery or at Cooper Cafe over the years. Your family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Bruce/Tim/Vicky/Sandy/Diane (and the rest of the Gernaats) -What a blessing to have G go home! I remember so many 4th Of July's at G & Judy's pool. Great memories! Not to mention, he looked so much like my Dad, John Jr. So many memories of Judy at the greenhouse planting, with Sandy. G was the oldest of the Gernaat cousins and I am the youngest, and what a family legacy he left. We'll all see him again some day, assured. Thinking of you and Love you all
