GODSEY, Gerald L. Sr., 67, of Henrico, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Lee Godsey; his mother, Alice Childress; and his sister, Darlene Fox. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nina J. Godsey; a daughter, Theresa Godsey; a son, Gerald L. Godsey
"Jerry" Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Shelia Godsey; two grandsons, Justin Lee and Jacob Lee Godsey; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members. Gerald retired from Blakemore Construction Company. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va., where services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
