My deepest condolences to the family. Jerry was a dear friend in the past for many years. I called him "My gentle giant." We shared many happy memories. I remember we were having lunch in a restaurant and a little boy came up to him. He thought Jerry was Santa Claus. Jerry talked to the boy and the boy was happy and walked away. Jerry was a long time popular figure in Northampton. I knew him from Pearl Street Nightclub. He was at the end of my bar for many shows. He was a good man and he will be missed by many.
