Gerald Hart

We were saddened by the news of Gerry's passing. It brought back many fond memories of our families spending time together, and traveling to out-of-town football games by piling all of us kids in a car along with large paper grocery bags of homemade popcorn. Gerry and our father spent countless hours talking about football and telling jokes. These joyous memories will remain in our hearts always.

I just learned of Gerrys passing. He was a true gentleman who earned the respect of all that knew him. His knowledge of the game of Football was exceeded by no one and he loved to share it. May God bless his family

I've always had very fond memories of Coach Hart. He was a great coach, and an even better guy.

Coach Hart coached me in the mid 70s at Illinois State. He was good man and fair coach. Much of what the coaches, (led by Coach Hart) taught me about life stuck with me through the years and impacted my life as a man. It is comforting to know he was a man of faith. Godspeed to Coach Hart and his family.

I coached with Gerry for 5 years at SIU. He was a wonderful, compassionate man and will be missed by all. He and his family are in my prayers and I'm sure the prayers of all who knew him.
