Not sure what to say?

I am truly sorry for your loss. I continue to keep the entire family in my thoughts. I have so many fond memories of Coach Hess. He motivated me on the volleyball court to excel and work hard. He also didn't mind telling me when I needed to get it together if I messed up on the court. His expressions during games and playing along side him in summer sand ball will be missed. He was such a kind soul and I am grateful for having known him and learning so much from him both on and off the court!

To Jamie’s family I’ve known him since he was born . They were my next door neighbors and friends. We played many games outside and in the summer you’s had a pool and you’s always had me over. There are so many good memories in band and many more I could go on . You will be missed Jamie . Please say hi to mom and Jenny. Until we meet again my friend . Love Michelle Werner Mckinney

York High Class of '92 sends our condolences and prayers to the family of Gerald Hess. He was an amazing person to many.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Tina ,kate I'm so sry for your loss.I started out by calling him coach for 4 years, after that jamie had me playing ball with him winter an summer leagues. His love for volleyball became mine. He'll be missed

My heart breaks for the Hess and Fortney families. Jamie was not only my friend but also my brother. I have had the pleasure of knowing Jamie for over thirty five years because of his sister, my best friend, Jill. His family is my family. He encouraged me to ask out my husband twenty six years ago, so thank you Jamie for seeing what we never would have seen on our own. Mike and I will miss you terribly, but we know you are being well taken care of. Connie was there to greet you as were so...

My heart is broken over Jamie's unexpected passing, I cannot help but remember the good times we shared years ago. My heart goes out to you Tina and Kate in this time of sorrow. I pray that you find comfort in knowing that he is with our Lord Jesus Christ.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Tina, I know you and your Daughter will honor him forever!

Tina and Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember Gerald from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. May you find comfort and peace in your memories.
