Not sure what to say?

I met Jerry Hickman at the top of a volcano in Rwanda Africa nearly 25 years ago. I was a wildlife researcher studying mountain gorillas when one day Jerry and his wife Doree appeared in our camp. Jerry and Doree immediately threw themselves into service. Jerry gave check-ups and examinations to all the Rwandans working in camp and then the line grew longer with their family members and local villagers. He brought medications and provided much relief to all including this researcher with a...

I was lucky enough to find Dr. Hickman when my husband and I came to Boulder in 1976. He was the greatest doctor I could have asked for for us, and for our three children who became patients when they were born. He was intuitive, kind, funny and caring. We were patients until he retired, and though I never saw him after that, I would think about how much he had meant to our family.

God Bless Dr Hickman! I just learned of his passing through my brothers. Dr Hickman was my-our family doctor growing up in Boulder. I was blessed to have a lengthy conversation with him at my moms funeral open house- where he spoke of his travels-bicycling with his wife. My sincere condolences to his family, God bless you Doc!!! I met Jerry through the wine club to which we belonged. I loved his kindness and adventurous spirit. He was always planning a trip and enjoying life. He was a very generous person. I remember when the wine club met at his home I wasn't sure which house was his and then I saw that the front door of his house was open. There was no screen door, just the open door. That is how I remember him, the open welcoming door. I will miss him very much.

As a child, Dr. Hickman was our family doctor. He was so kind, gentle, and patient (especially with my brother). He always took the time to explain things thoroughly. His gentle soul is now an gentle angel. Thank you Dr. Hickman for your service to the Boulder community. You will be missed and remembered.

I remember Jerry as Dr. Hickman, the best boss I ever had. His kindness and support of me and my family meant so much to me.

We often met Jerry as we walked up to the CMF concerts. He always greeted us with a big, welcoming smile. He will be missed. Doree, our thoughts are with you.

During the time we lived in Boulder, He was our very kind doctor. We were friends with him through the Devil's Thumb Homeowners' Association. The world has lost a fine man. My condolences to the family

When I started working at Table Mesa Family Medicine, Dr. Hickman's smile and devotion to his patients was seen and felt by all and long after he retired too. Sorry to hear he has left this earth but he is not forgotten. RIP Dr. Hickman and healing thoughts and prayers to his family.
