Gerald K. Hildenbrand, 87, formally of Bangor, PA, and Winter Haven, FL passed away Monday, September 12th, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Easton, PA.
Gerald (Jerry) was born in Plainfield Twp., PA on October 26, 1934, a son of Charles and Elsie (Kessler) Hildenbrand.
He was the husband of the late Nancy L. (Houck) Hildenbrand who passed away in 2011.
Gerald was a graduate of Bangor High School and attended Lafayette College. At a young age, he worked selling Newspapers where he met his beloved wife Nancy. he had worked part-time with Prudential Life Insurance and in the evenings at A&P in Bangor PA while working as a Cost Estimator for Ingersoll Rand of Phillipsburg NJ then Dresser-Rand of Olean, NY until retiring to FL. After retiring, Gerald got enjoyment working at Universal Studios at the E.T. Ride in Orlando, FL. He served on the Bangor Area School Board and later became President. He enjoyed spending his time golfing, watching any sporting event, singing in the chorus at Four Lakes Golf Club, playing cards and games, and traveling with the Moonlight Howlers Camping Club. It made him happy when he could spend time with his family.
Gerald was a member of Ackermanville United Methodist Church in Bangor, PA.
Gerald is survived by three daughters, Robin Pagotto, wife of Richard, of Warrington, PA, Terri Brescancine, wife of Barry, of Bangor, PA, and Denise Hood Bahrman, wife of Thor of Moore Twp., a sister, Eldamae Kemmerer, wife of John, of Bangor PA, Companion, Judith French of Winter haven, FL. 9 grandchildren: Ryan, Raegan, Ross, Tyler, Abbey, Tanner, Jordan, Katelyn, and Nathan. and 11 great-grandchildren, and another soon-to-be-great-grandchild.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 25th at Ackermanville United Methodist Church,1410 Ackermanville Road, Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to call at 1- 2 PM on Friday, November 25th at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ackermanville United Methodist Church 1410 Ackermanville Road, Bangor, PA 18013.
