I'm often reminded of Mr. Hines, the man. His immense kindness and transparency. I've watched him eat breakfasts, swim laps in his pool, celebrate birthdays and spend quality, quiet time with Barbara. I am honored and humbled to have met and experienced such an incredible man.

Gerald Hines and his company was truly one of the most respected companies in real estate development. In 1980 I worked for Wells Fargo
in San Francisco. I arranged a meeting between our President and Hines Interest which resulted in the construction of 101 California Street, a 52
story hi-rise. The building has great appeal and is considered one of
San Francisco’s premier office buildings. Thank you again for that opportunity and God Bless Gerald Hines and his companies.....

A truly visionary American who believed in the impact that aesthetically pleasing architecture can have in our world. I heard one recording of him on public radio, where he stated that people will want to come to work in a building that is unique, and that it doesn’t just have to be a tall , simple, bauhaus structure.
