Jerry was a class act. He will be greatly missed. I am very thankful for his leadership and generosity.

I knew Jerry for many years while working in the banking environment in Grand Rapids. He also lived nearby our home while residing in Ada. He was always well respected and regarded in the business community. A life well lived, Jerry. May you rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jerry's death. He gave me a start in Commercial Lending in 1981! We worked very well together and I considered him a friend as well. My condolences to his family.

I worked with Jerry at Union Bank in Grand Rapids. He was a great leader and generous with his time and talents, encouraging and assuring success for those he mentored. A real loss for all who knew him.

I had the great pleasure of working with Jerry for about 20 years. We co-founded Mercantile Bank together with a group of fantastic bankers. I met Jerry Johnson when I began working at Pacesetter Financial Corp. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was the most knowledgeable person in Banking and Finance that I ever worked for. I will always be grateful for what he taught me. My sympathy to Jerry's family and friends, in the loss of this great man.
