Gerald Kaufman

When I was the executive director of the PA Prison Society in the early 1980s, I was new to Philadelphia. I met Jerry and encouraged him to join our board of directors. He was immensely helpful to me in navigating the fraught political and nonprofit waters of Philadelphia and the state of PA. One of my lasting memories is of running into Jerry many years later at McMenamin's and receiving a huge hug. He was that kind of person.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of God, family and friends. Please find comfort in the words found at Isaiah 61:1,2.
