Not sure what to say?

He was such a wonderful professor and great teacher...and such a good person

Professor Kerns taught you how to teach yourself. A privilege in my life to have known him.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Kerns. Dr. Kerns was a wonderful professor and mentor. I have many warm memories of his challenging intellect, his kind words of support and his enjoyment of summers abroad in Italy. Next time I am Florence, I will toast him and remember him fondly.

I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. We taught together in Florence more than once, and he was a wonderful colleague and person. He will be missed. Eric Street

My thoughts and prayers go out to the children and many friends Jerry made over the years. His children were always in the forefront. He taught them to be independent and think critically, so they each have pursued their own dream for their lives. Jerry has indeed left a great legacy for future generations. He was special to me and I will miss him, but I feel blessed to have known him and shared many happy times.

Dear Kerns Family, Our thoughts our with you. With much love, Andrew & Anthony

My deepest sympathies to the Kerns clan. My heart goes out to all of you.
~ Carol

I just wanted you to know.
I'm thinking of you during this time. I am so glad you were able to spend time with him on his 80th birthday. I am sure this meant so much to him.
With deepest sympathy to the Kerns clan.
