My sympathy to your family on the passing of Gerald Knapp. He was service director when I worked at the city building and he was always kind and when I called him "Mr." Knapp, he said call me Gerry! After reading all the entries it shows how much people thought of him and how many lives he touched and made a difference in the world. We will all miss him very much. Karen Viall, former employee of the City Building Dept.

I went through the Police Academy in 1978 with Captain Knapp as one of the lead instructors. He was a true gentleman.

He was a wonderful man to know - full of kindness and warmth. It was our privilege to know Gerald through the years of marching. Although we were rivals on the street, we enjoyed a friendly and enjoyable relationship with him throughout the years. On behalf of those Cadet-Ettes who knew him - I extend our deepest sympathies. May God bless all of you as you walk through this valley. God IS able and will walk with you through it.
