Gerald Urban "Gerry" Knapp

To the Knapp Family,
We are soory for the loss of your father. He was agood friend of my wife.

My sympathy to your family on the passing of Gerald Knapp. He was service director when I worked at the city building and he was always kind and when I called him "Mr." Knapp, he said call me Gerry! After reading all the entries it shows how much people thought of him and how many lives he touched and made a difference in the world. We will all miss him very much. I went through the Police Academy in 1978 with Captain Knapp as one of the lead instructors. He was a true gentleman.

Gerry will be missed. He was a regular at the Traffic Safety Meetings and we will miss him. He is to be commended for his years of dedicated public service.

He was a wonderful man to know - full of kindness and warmth. It was our privilege to know Gerald through the years of marching. Although we were rivals on the street, we enjoyed a friendly and enjoyable relationship with him throughout the years. On behalf of those Cadet-Ettes who knew him - I extend our deepest sympathies. May God bless all of you as you walk through this valley. God IS able and will walk with you through it.
