Not sure what to say?

I am very sorry for your loss. I lived two doors down the hall from Jerry in West Quad's Michigan House during 1979-80 when he was a freshman. He always brought a smile to everyone's face with his good nature and humor.

Gerald was a champion to teenagers living in a foster care system that is often dark and lonely. He bought them books, sent them to camp and supported a virtual high school so they could graduate and attend college. I loved working with him on these projects over the years. He grasped ideas without needing long drawn-out proposals and he trusted you to do the right thing. Most of all he valued kids and understood their vulnerability in a world run by adults who don't.
I last saw him at an...

I am so sorry to hear this news. Just returning from a trip away, and I was shocked to learn of Gerry's passing. Although I did not know him long, Gerry was one of the kindest human beings. He was of a very small group of whom just sitting down once with him you could feel his warmth and know that he always puts his best foot forward. His generosity to the Children's Literacy Network and other organizations serving low-income children in Washtenaw County will forever be remembered....

So sorry to hear about the passing of Gerald. That was a total shock for us when we heard the news. He always had a smile on his face and was a joy to be around especially during the hockey seasons we spent with him and your family. We will miss him and pray for you all as you grieve his loss.

Offering my condolences. As you remember your love one, may Almighty God and your treasured memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength to endure. (Psalm 147:3)

I am so sorry for your loss. Jerry was such a nice, friendly, loving man. I stopped by the memorial today, but I had to leave early. If you need anything Maureen, please do not hesitate to call.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Gerald. I didn't know him as well as the others here, but he still had a profound effect on me. I'm not exaggerating when I say that without him, I'd be at home with no friends and nothing to do. I just wish that I could have told him how much Go Comedy means to me. He'd even name drop me on stage at special events. Unprovoked. He will be sorely missed.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Gerald as well as the others here, but he still had an effect on my life. Without him, I'd be at home with no friends and nothing to do. That's not an exaggeration. I was incredibly depressed before I found Go Comedy and I wish I could have thanked him for this place. My deepest sympathies.
P.S. My favorite memory of Gerald is of him shirtless on stage holding a pizza box. Just saying.
