To the Families of Fr. Jerry,
Sadden to receive news of Fr. Jerry's passing, but he's now pain free and in the loving arms of Christ.
Fr.Jerry knew my parents, Vincent and Alice MacDonald, and he married my sister Suzanne and Bill Drummond in 1969. Fr. Jerry's Dad, Floyd, introduced my Dad, Vincent, to Alice Banaszak, many years ago, 1937
Fr. Jerry's parents were in my folks wedding party in 1939.
May God bless his family and friends. Fr. Jerry will be missed by many. May he rest...

Dear members of Fr. Jerry's family,

My husband & I were very saddened to hear about Fr. Jerry. We just found out a couple of days ago. He was a wonderful pastor and good friend to us when he served at Our Lady of Lake Huron. He was a wonderful mentor to both of us and because of him my husband became a Catholic. We were then married by him in December of 2002.

He endured so many hardships with his health but always seemed to bounce back with a new zest for life! He is now...

Dear members of Fr. Jerry's Family,
We sailed for Belgium on the Niew Amsterday on Friday, Sept. 13, 1963 with other classmates on the way to the American College in Louvain and enjoyed four wonderful there. When a Friday the 13th came around, we'd find a place to have a party. Jerry was a great presence in our class and I have admired him since then and during his illnesses. Be sure of my prayerful support.

Dear Kukla Family:

I studied with Jerry at the American College in Louvain, Belgium and was a member of his ordination class in 1967. We traveled together our second summer in Germany, Austria and Italy. I remember Jerry telling humorous stories and always there with a laugh and a kind word to share. He was very committed to his ministry and while I have not seen him in recent years we have all been inspired by his dedicated work and commitment to the people of his parish. Please...

My deepest sympathy to members of Fr. Gerry's family and parishes. He was well loved and will be remembered.

I had the pleasure of knowing him during his seminary years in Belgium and have fond memories.

Jean and family, I was a classmate of Father Jerry's in Louvain, Belgium. I have fond memories of crossing the Atlantic with him on the Nieuw Amsterdam back in the 60's. We did some traveling around Europe together. I distinctly remember him getting deathly ill when we crossed the English Channel on a ferry during a storm. He was green, green, green during the whole trip and spent most of the time in the restroom. I'm sure I remember him kissing the ground when we landed in Dover. I never...

Jeannie,
My husband and I send our sincere sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your brother Fr. Jerry. Years ago I worked with you at the nursing home. We were just young kids. You were Jeannie Awad and my name was Cindy Fuhr. As the years passed I would attend church and your brother would keep me posted on you and your uncle Clem. Clem and Alta were my godparents. Please tell Clem I said hello and extend my sympathy to him as well.
The story in the Saginaw news was...
