Not sure what to say?

I recently moved to a place with a lot of birds and I often think of him. I wished I would have paid more attention in his ornithology class. But I am grateful for him. He was so passionate about birds and the environment and he lived his life with purpose and I admire that greatly.

Whenever I see a bird or watch an Attenbough film I still think of Mr. Lang. I didn't know he liked to sing at karaoke or played jazz trombone, I would have loved to hear him play and sing. When I heard learned he would drive to Rapid City to do chemo 3 times a week and still taught and managed to finish his thesis for graduate school, I was blown away. We miss you.

I will miss him so much. He taught me so much about birds and his passion overflowed and made all the students excited. He cared so much about the environment and we will all miss him dearly!

I pray that Tunkasila (God)is with Jerry as he journeys on to see his relatives on the other side (HEAVEN),,,I pray for good health, good help, and protection for his family in this year of mourning,be strong and look forward in your lives,,,He was an awesome teacher.
