Gerald L. Lubeck

It´s ironic that this email reminder of Jerry came today. For the past couple of days I have been looking at his available works on the Tilting at Windmills Gallery, trying to decide which we will buy. He is still in our hearts and minds.

I knew Jerry in high school. He was a wonderful soul. I still have a portrait he painted of me. Miss him.

I met Gerald through his brother Dale whom I have known since the late 60's. I didn't know him well, but I loved his work. Dale was a very special friend who was always there for me. He was my go to guy when I needed a date to attend special occasions. He would even get me out on the dance floor and I admit I am not a talent. I had a wedding to attend of a college friend and Dale escorted me. He gave as a gift to the happy couple one of Gerald's prints. Much to my delight my friend was...

With Deep sadness I am reading only today September 2, 2020 of this loss, to family, to friends, to the world of art. GOD Bless, GOD Bless this welcomed sole already I'm sure.

My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Gerald Lubeck. May you continually be comforted by God, Family and Friends. Several months ago I purchased a picture from the thrift store for 2.99 because I needed that size picture frame. Before removing the picture I noticed it was signed and numbered by Mr. Lubeck. I googled the information. What I have is "On the Trail, 176/980 in its original framing (gold mailing label on the back).

RIP, Mr Lubeck. My wife and I hang several Lubeck pieces in our home. Having roots in Vermont but living my adult life mostly in the South, Gerald's beautiful interpretations of Vermont's pastoral life keep my memories of the Green Mountain state alive. Thank you for that!
