I was sad to hear the news from Susie. I knew Gerry was accomplished in his field, but I was even more fortunate to get to know him as a warm, interesting and fun person. He is loved by all and will be missed. Sending prayers to Sally and the Mahan Family.

I saw Dr. Mahan's obituary in the Schenectady Daily Gazette. While I did not know him, I recognized the name and his wife's name. I knew Mrs. Mahan as "Miss Spaugh" when she was my first grade teacher at Rosendale Elementary School in 1960/1961 - and she was a wonderful teacher. The world is smaller than it appears. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Grant Fullman
