Not sure what to say?

love you dad and miss you so much, like my hair i can't get you back , you to joey love you and miss you both

It's Christmas time and I just can't quite get into the spirit knowing I don't have you to share it with. You are missed more and more with each passing day, Papa. I can't believe in 4 days you will have been gone a year. I love you.

The best hug!!

Dear Dad,
We are entering into the month of September now, the month that we always found ourselves remembering our Joe a little bit more than other months. We hope you are smiling upon all of us, together, as Father and Son.
The days fall into one another and when they say it gets easier with time, I think the word is different with time. You learn a different way to put one foot in front of the other and do the 'march' Dad. But then there are those days that you suddenly stop and...

Good Morning Papa.. Boy is this tough... so hard to believe that when I come down to visit..I will not get that hug I so look forward to. There are days that I don't feel so strong... but I do know that I feel you around me. Thank You Papa. I Love You and Miss you to the moon!!!!!!!

Ethan and Papa enjoying each other's conversation! Thanksgiving 2007

Its Monday, December 21 2008..the snow has been falling since noon yesterday and all I can do is think about how much you love this season. After I came in last night from doing some shoveling, Ethan asked me if I had made any snow Angels... I replied to him that I did not. He says..."but Mom... you have to ... for Papa"! So, I promised Ethan that we could make you some snow Angels tonight after work, if you would like to join us!!!! xoxoxox

I Love You Nana and...

Mr. Manning,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USAF in Korea. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

love

I made you my number one priority Papa... From the moment we received your diagnosis, till the very end, I NEEDED to be beside you. And now you are gone, what do I do??
You were my grandfather but I feel that word isn't strong enough for the relationship I shared with you. You went above and beyond with all whose lives you touched and
I can proudly say that you helped shape me into the person I am today. I thank you Papa.

You went far too fast, but you are in a better place now...

A great grandfather in every sense of the word. It's a shame to see him go, but he will ALWAYS be in our hearts and minds.

Love, Bryan

Mike and family, our very deepest sympathys on the loss of your dad. I could see from the family movie and all the pictures how much he loved you all and how much all of you loved him. Even though we all must return to our Creator someday, it is still difficult to say goodbye to the truly great ones as I know he was. I am sure that Manning humor and all of your memories will give you all peace. Our prayers are with you all. Sincerely Jim Jaehnig and family
