Not sure what to say?

Jerry and I were kids together in Bayside. He´s the second from our little group to pass away, "Flake" being the first. We probably last saw each other around 1970. I heard through a mutual friend that his mom is 94 and still lives in Bayside. Sending my condolences to his friends and family.

Rest in Peace, Jerry! Heaven is a beautiful residence to await the presence of those who will one day be with you again.

I am a fairly new member of the Bayou Wood Turners and only knew Jerry for a short time. At the meetings, he was a man of few words but he never stopped working the entire time of the meeting. We got to watch and do demos, learn things and do things and all the while he was behind the scene taking photos of all of the gallery items one by one and taking pictures of other things going on in the meeting pretty much until the meeting was over. Then he would some how find the time with all the...

René, the children and I are very sorry for your loss. The news came to us as a shock. We will pray for you and hope that God will help you through this difficult time. Take care ! xx

Lila, my heart goes out to you at this very sad time. I worked with Jerry for many years at Texaco in New Orleans and will always remember him as a great geologist, a true oil finder, and one of the finest co-workers I have ever had. I will also never forget the incredible, homemade holiday cookies that you and Jerry so generously shared each year. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.

If I had to pick one word to describe Jerry it would be - Mensch - Yiddish for a person of integrity and honor; someone to admire and emulate, someone of noble character. It was a great privilege to know him. He was one of the best geologists I ever worked with at Texaco; a real oil-finder - which is high praise in our profession.

My condolences Lila. Jerry was a man whose intelligence, kindness, and judgement I came to respect and admire. I am greatly saddened.

So sorry to hear the sad news. We will be praying for you and yours.

Jerry's smile tells you how very special he was to so many. He was always willing to lend a hand to help any who asked. I feel so blessed to have known him from our earliest days at Texaco. He will remain in my memory as a most gentle, kind, sincere, and joyful person. We will miss you Jerry! My heartfelt condolences to the family of this great man.
