Gerald M. Marlow (Jerry), 62 of Cedar Knolls, NJ passed away on Friday November 6, 2009 at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center of Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Elaine Orsulak Marlow as well as daughters Amanda Marlow and Sarah Marlow, all of Cedar Knolls. Additional survivors include his mother Stella Palco Marlow of Jamesburg, NJ; sister, Marianne Marlow of Freehold, NJ; and brother, Lee Marlow of Atlanta, GA. He was predeceased by his father Rodney L. Marlow and brother Richard Marlow. Jerry was born to Rodney and Stella Marlow on March 20, 1947 in New Brunswick, NJ and was raised in Jamesburg, NJ. He was a 1965 graduate of Jamesburg High School and went on to attend Memphis State University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970 as Sergeant, Military Police, 759th MP Battalion, Fort Dix, NJ serving with the Judge Advocate General's office. He and his brother Richard co-owned Village Liquors in Jamesburg, NJ from 1971-1976. From 1977-1984 they co-owned Radio Station WAAK in the Charlotte/Gastonia, North Carolina area. In 1985 Jerry and his family moved back to New Jersey where he became General Manager of WRAN Radio in Dover, NJ and then General Sales Manager of WMTR Radio and WDHA Radio in Cedar Knolls, NJ. From 1993-1996, Jerry was Advertising Sales Manager for U.S. Cablevision/Colony Communications in Wappingers Falls, NY; and from 1997 to present he was employed by Cablevision as Area Advertising Sales Manager in Oakland, NJ and most recently in Randolph, NJ. Jerry was an avid reader, sports enthusiast, and hobbyist. He enjoyed travel, especially to historical sites. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday November 9th, at 10:00 AM at Notre Dame of Mt Carmel, 75 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Hanover, NJ.
