The FTD Farewell Too Soon Bouquet

Our hearts are saddened but we know Jerry is at peace after his long battle. He was one of the most fascinating people we have ever known and we will miss him dearly. Vaya con Dios, Jerry. Condolences to Margot and family.

Margot and Family, so sorry to hear about Jerry. He was a caring neighbor, a gracious host, and always ready for a bit of blarney with a twinkle in his eye. I remember when he was soccer coach for 1st graders, he used creative ways to explain the "goal" of soccer in a manner only our 7 year old sons could understand. Something about eagles protecting the nest. It worked. He will be missed.

Jerry was a delightful person -- in my experience, humble, down-to-earth, and thoughtful. He was kind to others, even when under stress. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and a charming smile to go with it. Our world needs more people like him, not fewer. I'm sorry he's gone.

Gerry was one of the first Architects in Eugene to accord me the position of fellow professional... that feeling meant the world to me... that, and a good paddy joke I am already missing.

So many warm and poignant memories of shared holiday dinners, board games, wine tasting... and never forget the "B" house adventure and the viking ship in the barn attic. Or the mystery dinner with the scheming waiters. All these images and so many more. Thank you McDonnells. Fly high Jerry, we'll miss you! Sending our love to all.

Sorry to hear of Jerry's passing, always such an upbeat person to talk to. A gem of a personality. Condolences to his family.

Margot, so sorry to hear of your losing Jerry. Hugs and prayers for you and your family. Kathleen Heinz

Jerry was always ready and glad to instruct one of the CSI classes - even with short notice. We will miss one of the good guys.
