Not sure what to say?

Gerald and his brother Gary and I went to school together at St. Margaret's in Cut Bank from 1942 to 1949. Gerald and I were good friends during that time and when I moved to Cut Bank in 1947 after my father died, I spent many weekends at the McNutt farm engaging in BB gun fights, wrestling matches, milking the cows and making his dear mother wonder why she had ever volunteered to invite me home with them. Annette was a great cook and our bruised bodies and egos were always soothed by her...

I interviewed for a grain merchandiser postion with Jerry when he was Mgr. for CGI in Gt. Falls back in 1982. He hired me and gave me the opportunity in which I'm still living today. Jerry was a gentleman & a scholar & an all around Great person! The Family can be very proud!

I was very lucky to go to school & graduate with Jerry, We also worked together for GTA in Cut Bank. We had many good laughs & worked very hard. Condonses to the family. Jerry was a very good man.

Billie, David, Gary & Family,
I was so saddened by the news of Jerry. I know he is in a better place, but the good-bye is always so dang hard. He's with Merrit and his parents reunited and out of pain. Hold onto your memories, those are yours forever. I love you and I will see you for Jerry's funneral.
Love to you all & God bless,
Tia Bastas Dear

I got to know Jerry back in the mid 70's when I got into the grain business. We worked together for many year in Great Falls and in Portland. Jerry was not a only a colleague but a very good friend. David, you surely don't remember me but be assured you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers on the passing of your Dad, he was a very good man.

Dave,so sorry to hear of your dad's passing.I will say a prayer for you.

I didn't know Gerry well at all. I do remember him managing the Equity in Harlem though. Dad really liked him. And I remember him giving me a free pop from the machine once too!

David, I just read of your father's passing and would like to give my condolences. I greatly admired your father, he was a wonderful mentor to me and greatly encourage me while working under him. He was a great human being with compassion for others. He certainly did make the best fudge anywhere. Cherish his memories---I will.
