Not sure what to say?

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Ian's passing. The news only came to me recently, and I am so sorry that I did not know sooner. I knew Ian from 3M. We worked in different cities but had frequent associations at meetings while we were both supervisors in the service department. I knew him to be a kind, caring and compassionate individual with a strong sense of right and wrong. He was a good role model for people and led by example. I also remember his good sense of humour and...

To a dear friend, my supervisor, and fellow 3M'er. When I needed time to spend with my dying brother in 1991 he was there for me, and my family. It is with deep sadness, and shock that I greet his untimely passing. Our profound sympathy, and thoughts are with Gloria, and Family.

I knew Ian when he worked at 3M. Ian, was a great man who was always helping everyone. He seemed to know something about everything and I always enjoyed stopping by to talk to him. He will be sadly missed by everyone and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I knew Ian from 3M Canada. He was a great guy. Had a heart of gold. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Ian at 3M Canada Co for many years. I remember his great sense of humour and that he was always a pleasure to talk to. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I'll always remember the first time I ever saw Ian and his dog, "Buckwheat" come flying around a turn on a golf cart at Regal Auctions...Ian's foot dangling over the side, driving like a madman and "Buckwheat" leaning into the turn. It's a memory that brings a smile and that's how it should be.
