Working on a Saturday that was Valentines day, a flower vendor kept coming into the warehouse. At lunch time Gerry said if the flower guy comes in again I should buy flowers for my wife to avoid being in trouble for working on Valentines day. Gerry was the best! Great historian of the Edison. Great leader. Taught me a huge amount about what it was and meant to be an Edison guy on the operations side of the company. I always wanted to be like him when I grew up. Maybe in a couple small ways I was; at least I hope I was.
