Gerald L Powell, 62, passed August 11, 2013. Visitation, Friday, August 16, 2-5 p.m. in our chapel and 6-8 p.m., New Tyler A.M.E. Church, 3330 Summer Ave., and Saturday, August 17, 10 a.m. until time of funeral at 11 a.m. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery. He is survived by wife, Rita F. Powell; daughters, Jerita J Powell , Jeralyn J Powell; sister, Renee Powell and other relatives and friends. R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home (901)526-3264
We were classmates at Hamilton High School and we graduated in 1968. We remained friends through out our adult lives . Gone too soon..my friend. To Rita and your daughters.. my sincere condolences. RIH Tll we meet again.
