I also worked for Pickle Bills in the flats one summer and first met Jerry. I have seen him many times over the years. Pickle Bills is 2 miles from home and he lived nearby. He helped me out a few times and I helped him back. A fine happy respectable man he was. I remember walking into Pickle Bills wearing my "Jerry" t-shirt and he laughed out loud. He'll be missed by many.

I had the opportunity to work for Jerry at the old and the new Pickle Bill’s in the 90s and early 2000s. He was an absolute genius when it came to marketing and I really learned a lot about people, life and music while I was there. Jerry Powell was an entrepreneur of life!!! ( Not to mention his knowledge of marketing, designing and executing a menu that would serve the public from a 100 mile radius specifically at Pickle Bills.
