I was best of friends with Jerry's sister Jenny. I wish I would have known about Jerry's passing earlier and then I could have attended the service. My prayers go out to you, Jenny and Doc. I always liked your brother and may he rest in peace. Hope God gives all of you the strength needed to get thru these rough times. Take good care of each other !

I've known Jerry for almost 30 years. We stayed in touch although our lives grew apart. Only a couple of weeks ago he shared his thoughts with me just as we always had. Words cannot express the sadness that has grown out of the shock upon hearing of his passing. My...

What a wonderful person. I will surely miss Jerry. We were best friends for many years, and had seen each other through thick and thin. I will prey for all those so close to Jerry and family. I certainly hope, “Jerry is in a better place for Jerry”

I truly believe that death (while inevitable for all of us and frequently tragic for those are left behind) is one of God's greatest gifts....

I knew Jerry a very, very long time ago, and I was friends with Joy's older sister, Emme. Although I didn't know Joy personally, I knew her family and I am very sadened by her loss. My thoughts and prayers are with her and his family. God bless.

To Joy, her two beautiful children, all of their wonderful friends, and immediate and extended family: it is difficult to come up with the right words to bring needed comfort and find reasons for the loss we're feeling. We must perhaps live with these questions until each of us finds his or her everlasting peace. Jerry overcame obstacles time and again in his brief and incomplete life; there are many examples of his courage, tenacity and leadership for us from which to learn. In this time of...
