I was best of friends with Jerry's sister Jenny. I wish I would have known about Jerry's passing earlier and then I could have attended the service. My prayers go out to you, Jenny and Doc. A great man who will be missed by many but will be forgotten by no one.

I've known Jerry for almost 30 years. We stayed in touch although our lives grew apart. Only a couple of weeks ago he shared his thoughts with me just as we always had. We spoke of how our children have changed our lives by giving us new insight to the world we thought we knew. Paul and Maggie are lucky to have a father so giving and loving, they will always be his greatest legacy.

Jerry was a friend of mine for more than 30 years. My life was enriched by our friendship and is, I find, diminished by his absence. As a person who demonstrated remarkable vitality, cheerfulness, goodwill, and energy in all those matters to which he turned his hand, I know he would want me and everyone who remembers him to do the same.

I truly believe that death (while inevitable for all of us and frequently tragic for those are left behind) is one of God's greatest gifts....

I knew Jerry a very, very long time ago, and I was friends with Joy's older sister, Emme. Although I didn't know Joy personally, I knew her family and I am very sadened by her loss. My thoughts and prayers are with her and his family. God bless.
