Not sure what to say?

I had Dr. Root as a Professor at AIC. He was not only an outstanding Professor, but a kind, caring individual who sincerely cared about his students.

When I was in high school, my teachers convinced me I was no good at math. I did great in finite math with jerry. In fact he designed a calculus course with economic emphasis in the summer of 1976 and I got it and he gave me an a. I will never forget jerry!

Eileen, so sorry to hear about Jerry. May you find peace and comfort in the many wonderful memories stored in your heart. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Sending our sincere condolences to you and your family.

I was very saddened to hear of Professor Root´s passing. I offer my heartfelt sympathy and deep condolences to Eileen and family. He was my academic advisor at AIC in the mid 70s and his kind heart and attention to students he mentored made a huge difference in my life. I will always be thankful for his professionalism, friendliness, and straight talk. He was the best!

I worked with Gerry at AIC in the eighties. He always had a smile. Fresh face in the morning walking the Center of the grounds. Always with a "HI" Rest in Peace Gerry.

Served his community by volunteering.

I had Prof. Root for Finite math and later statistics at AIC in the early 80's. He was tough but fair. 30 plus years later I ran into him at Stop& Shop, and he actually remembered me. Very nice man.

Eileen, Kristin and Nate, we are very sorry to learn of Gerry's passing. We have fond memories of our children growing up especially Gerry appearing as Santa Claus and peeking in the window when they were very young. May your wonderful memories help you during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Gerry.
