Ferguson Funeral Home - Scottdale Obituary

Gerald H. “Jerry” Schroyer, 43

of Connellsville (Bullskin Township) passed away at 1:03 PM Saturday, April 19, 2025 in Independence Health System’s Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. Jerry was born November 14, 1981 in Mount Pleasant, a son of Linda E. (Armel) Schroyer of Scottdale and the late Gerald H. Schroyer, who passed away in 1999.

Jerry was a devoted son, father, animal lover, and good friend to many! He was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School, Class of 2000 and enjoyed fishing especially at Lake Erie, gardening, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He tended his own pond and was an avid collector.

Jerry will be sadly missed by his loving family; his mother, Linda E. (Armel) Schroyer; his children, Alishia Schroyer, Allenna Hanzes and her husband Rudolph, and Summer Stenger; his feline, Knucklehead; and his many friends especially Cody and Rick. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Irma and Sylvester Schroyer; his maternal grandparents, Hazel and Chelsie Armel; and his loyal and faithful dog, Hey-You.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday and 10-11 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel followed by funeral services at 11 AM Thursday with Pastor Andrea Bello officiating. Final resting place will be in Alverton Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
