Gerry was a great man and an American hero. He was always friendly and never pretentious about his importance. I am happy to have known and work with him.

Gerald Shur's contributions to law enforcement were far reaching. I can attest to that because he helped me start a "Witsec" program for the Manhattan District Attorney Bob Morgenthau and later on helped me again when I was assisting the Rhode Island Attorney General Sheldon Whitehouse. I'm saddened to hear of the passing of this fine man and public servant.
