Not sure what to say?

I was a Seyfarth associate then partner in the late 70s into the early 80s. While Gerry and I had few contacts after I left the Seyfarth firm, my loss, the obituary captures his essence perfectly. He was a truly wonderful person who will be greatly missed by everyone who ever had the good fortune to know him.

Always a first class gentleman

Gerry and I were classmates in Law School and briefly at Seyfarth. I always enjoyed our interactions and greatly admired his wit and great sense of humor. My sincere condolences to Mary and the family. Jamey Fadim

I was two years ahead of Gerry at Princeton but we were classmates and friends at Michigan Law School. That continued over many years as we were both partners at major law firms in Chicago. We both split our retirement winters in Florida and kept a summer home in or near Chicago. I enjoyed his Midnight Musings and we often commented back and forth on them. One of the nicest guys I have ever known. I will miss him greatly. Tom Mullen Chicago/Naples

So Sorry To Hear Off Garrys Passing Rip

I am very sorry about Gary. I along with many others use to play squash with Gary at the Chicago Athletic Association when the club was thriving. Gary was a great competitor on the squash and a lot of fun where we shared a lot of laughs. RIP to a truly outstanding person who led and enjoyed a big life.

Dearest Mary, It is with deep sadness and profound sorrow to hear of the untimely passing of your beloved Gary. We send our loving thoughts to you and family. Vicki and Mark Silverman

Gerry was such a great guy. Smart, funny, and handsome. He and Mary were always wonderful company when we shared Holiday dinners, boat rides, and good times. He will be missed by so many...

Gerry was a mentor of mine at the firm and eventually a close friend. He grew up in Geneva and I live in Geneva so we shared that along with having had offices next to one another for many years. He always had a smile on his face and a quick wit. He will be greatly missed.
