TRIBBLE, Gerald C. "Jerry" - Of Flint, age 87, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1PM Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sean Kennedy officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Visitation 5-8PM Wednesday and 1-4PM and 6-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Gerald was born in Scobey, Mississippi on October 16, 1919 and was a resident of the Flint area since 1957. He married Josie Willyerd on October 25, 1946. Gerald served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and landed on Omaha Beach. He was employed by Chevrolet Flint Manufacturing. Surviving are wife, Josie; children, Ronald and wife Gale of Swartz Creek, Janice and husband William Banacki of Flushing; Gregory and wife Mary-Anne of Flint; grandchildren, Tracey Willett, Emily and Brent Tribble, Kristen Owen, Lori Banacki, Bill, Mike, and Brian Chuff; great-grandchildren, Toni, Alexis and Ryan.
