GERALD T."Jerry" TRUCKEY

Carol and Family,
I was heartbroken to hear of Jerry's illness and passing. Our history goes back 30 years or so. I got lost heading back to Ann Arbor after a UM-ND football game and fell into the Fisher Lake Inn. Lo and behold a discussion started between me a diehard Michigan fan and Jerry the diehard ND fan. The ribbing and jousting lasted from that point on. My customary calls with a hearty Go Blue when he answered and responded with a loud go Irish. The "green bus" came to Ann...

Jerry and his familys Fisher Lake Inn has become a Fishers Lake institution. Many people know of Fishers Lake primarily because of the F. L. Inn.
For years Jerry provided a meeting place for the Fisher Lake Associations annual meetings, a contribution greatly appreciated by our residents. He made our lake better and will long be remembered.

Jerry always had a twingle in his eye and a grin. Like he was about to tell a joke or a story. I remember his friends Ken Newbie,Don Neal,and Bill Pierre . Heard they once had a bet on a bunch of birds sitting on a phone line. Which would take off first. A friend once told me he wanted his tomb stone to say " he was no stranger to a good time," I think you could say that about Jerry

Jerry and Jeff i will be forever grateful to you a young man that you have not been around for very long you guys turned him around and changed his life Jerry was one of a kind MP

So many memories growing up with you. From going to ball games to visiting you in the restaurant...rest well old friend

Jerry was one of a kind. He will be missed for many reasons by many people. Thoughts and prayers are with the Truckey family.
