Not sure what to say?

Remembering Jerry with love from our work together at Manhattanville (then College, now University). Together we created something special for a school that, until my freshman year, was all women. By the end of my sophomore year, I sat down to share an idea with Jerry. "There are guys on this campus who can sign, and the only opportunities they have are form a rock band or a barbershop quartet, or if they're good enough, try out for the annual opera production. I'd like to propose another...

Jerry will always be remembered fondly from my days at Columbia. I was a year behind him in CC'58.

When I had the pleasure of singing in the Columbia Glee Club from 1955 thru 1958 (Tenor Soloist in 1958) under Director J. Bailey "Oats" Harvey, Jerry was our accompaniest (Piano and Organ) for most of those years. I will always remember the combination of "Director Harvey" and Asst. Director Weale.

I believe this is the same Jerry Weale who was my choir director and organist at West End Presbyterian church on 105th street in New York City. At the time he was also directing the Columbia Glee Club. I have many fond memories of my time with him. Jerry took me to my senior prom in 1957. I am so sad that I was not in touch through the years. Jerry was a wonderful choirmaster and remarkable person.

I remember Jerry from my days at Columbia College (1961-65) where he was the assistant director of the Glee Club. We spent many evening together. At the time he was also the organist at the Chapel of The Intercession, the uptown branch of Trinity Church. I only recently learned of has passing but wanted to add a brief note in his memory.
